Extensive façade refurbishment and repair project, undertaken to preserve the original features and repair/upgrade historic external elements of the superb Grade II* listed buildings surrounding the University of Manchester Quadrangle.
The works have restored external masonry and roof coverings and will also enable the University to achieve their aim of reducing carbon emissions by the incorporation of double glazed windows in the historic buildings.
WML has worked with the University of Manchester since 2009 to assist with this large scale repair, refurbishment and upgrading project providing structural advice and assisting the design team and contractor with the complex repair schedules.
