MacIntrye has been delivering learning, care and support services to people with learning difficulties since 1966.
The award winning Great Holm building in Milton Keynes was originally constructed in 1989, designed by Edward Cullinan CBE. To ensure MacIntrye could continue to deliver specialist services best tailored to meet the needs of the community a full refurbishment and extension project was undertaken.
This complex refurbishment and extension provided a new hydrotherapy suite, a fully equipped “learning” kitchen and opened up the entire existing undercroft by excavating and underpinning the existing foundations. The finished scheme has sensitively extended a well loved local landmark providing MacIntrye with a thoroughly modern facility.
WML provided a full service for the scheme including site investigation, flood risk assessment, detailed drainage and structural design.
