The site is being developed for retail and leisure use with associated access roads and external areas.
Part of the site had previously been subject to ground stabilisation drilling and grouting works as a result of historical shallow mine workings.
Further detailed ground investigations and geological interpretation determined that the remainder of the site was unaffected by shallow mine workings, thus providing a substantial cost saving.
